FASHION FRIDAY: JEANS OR NOT

 
I know when you first saw that tittle "Jeans or Not", you thought....Hummm "Jeans pants are not in or good to wear". Well, I am not talking about jeans pants but jeans fabric integrated with shirts or outerwear. I don't follow the fashion that is "In" but, I have an eye for fashion that can still work rather the Fashion World might think it is "In or Out". I personally think the jeans fabric integrated with a jacket or shirt will never die out because I can see many uses for it especially during Spring or Fall. During spring, the weather can sometimes be slightly cool/warm. So for example, if the weather is like 68-78 degrees and if you want to keep it nice and casual. Then a light blue jeans shirt with a none monochromatic pants(light brown is my preference) that accommodate the color of the jeans shirt with some nice shoes( casual shoes like sebagos or low tops converse). MOVIE THURSDAY: THE GREAT GATSBY

 

A lot of people I know keep talking about this movie. I was at work one day  talking to my coworkers during one of our down times. And as you don't already know yet, we are talkers. So one of the topics we was talking about was this movie, The Great Gatsby. I never read the book or was interested in watching the movie. But the more my coworkers and I talked about it and I keep watching the trailers, the more intriguing it got to me and started growing on me. I really don't know why I thought I would not like this move. I mean, come on. This is a movie that Leonardo DiCaprio is acting in. Off the back of your head, I bet you can name 10 movies that he was in and I bet that they are all great movies; right?. So go see THE GREAT GATSBY May 10 and "get lost in the secrets behind Gatsby and be fascinated by what you find".

REAL TALK WEDNESDAY: WOMEN WORTH

So I was on Facebook, and one of my friends posted this small article that talks about women worth. I personally agree. What is your thoughts on this?

Jada Pinkett-Smith: “The War on Men Through the Degradation of Woman” - "How is man to recognize his full self, his full power through the eye’s of an incomplete woman? The woman who has been stripped of Goddess recognition and diminished to a big ass and full breast for physical comfort only. The woman who has been silenced so she may forget her spiritual essence because her words stir too much thought outside of the pleasure space. The woman who has been diminished to covering all that rots inside of her with weaves and red bottom shoes.

I am sure the men, who restructured our societies from cultures that honored woman, had no idea of the outcome. They had no idea that eventually, even men would render themselves empty and longing for meaning, depth and connection.

There is a deep sadness when I witness a man that can’t recognize the emptiness he feels when he objectifies himself as a bank and truly believes he can buy love with things and status. It is painful to witness the betrayal when a woman takes him up on that offer.

He doesn’t recognize that the [creation] of a half woman has contributed to his repressed anger and frustration of feeling he is not enough. He then may love no woman or keep many half women as his prize.

He doesn’t recognize that it’s his submersion in the imbalanced warrior culture, where violence is the means of getting respect and power, as the reason he can break the face of the woman who bore him 4 four children.

When woman is lost, so is man. The truth is, woman is the window to a man’s heart and a man’s heart is the gateway to his soul.(This right there is what you call a powerful statement. As a man who already respect women, it really touches you)

Power and control will NEVER out weigh love.

May we all find our way.
 

VIDS SUNDAY: PRINCE ROYCE- ADDICTED

One thing everyone should know about me is that, I am a “BIG FAN” of  Spanish music. And even though I don’t understand enough to have a conversation , just the “MUSIC ITSELF” give me an understanding of what the song is conveying. And one of my favorite songs is Addicted by Prince Royce. I don’t want to sound soft, but this song really touch me. The reason is because one day, I want to be able to say those same words to that special one.

COMICS/MANGA SATURDAY: DEATH OF SPIDER-MAN

"WITH GREAT POWERS COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY" by: Ben Parker(fiction). A statement that Peter Parker A.K.A Spider-man has lived by till his unpredictable death. Yes! The 51 years long series The Amazing Spider-man #700/The Ultimate Spider-man #160 was killed off (Disney takeover Marvel..Low Blow Bitches). A really sad moment in Marvel Universe indeed.
I know! that readers of Spider-man had to notice the way he died. In both The amazing spider-man and the ultimate spider-man, he was ganged up like bullies to a nerd. Wow! that way of death could not surprise me more. I guess uncle Ben was not able to finish his statement, and wanted to say "But With Great Power Comes Great Death". As much as I like change, I really think they could have found a different way to "Move Forward" with spider-man rather then killing him off. I haven't read #700 or #160 but I just finish reading one of the next issues of Ultimate Spider-man Fallout #4 which welcomes the NEW ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN (black and red spiderman costume) Miles Morales. Miles, who is a teenager of African American and Latino descent, who possesses powers similar to those of the original Spider-man from a genetically engineered spider bite by Norman Osborn in an attempt to duplicate those very same abilities. After reading this issue, I have to say that I am very intrigue to where this New ultimate spider-man can go. Well that is all for now, but before end my insight on the Death of Spider-man. I will leave you with this: "My President is Black and Spider-man is too"

FASHION FRIDAY

So FASHION, a repeating cycle of trends that never stop. There is a "new trend" hitting the fashion world every season and you are either with it or not with it. A lot of people would like to say that they are a "trend setter" and they might be because I would like to say I am also one. But let's look at what a trend setter is and move from  there. A TREND SETTER: Someone who wears what they think is cool, or someone who popularizes a new fashion. But, actually your "TREND SETTER STATE OF MIND" is a copy of what was "IN" or "OUT" that you mixed with your own "UNIQUE" sense of style or in other words, your "PERSONALITY". I would say that the fashion world needs more people like you (trend setters), but if everybody is a leader. Who would follow?

Now lets get into what exactly FASHION FRIDAYS is really about. So we are entering the summer season of 2013 and everybody, well most people would like to look they best. Well I am here to give you my tips to all my readers if you are looking for ideas for what to wear this summer. Now, keep in mind that the weather is very hot and the key to really enjoying summer is staying cool. So rather it is Street wear, Casual or Dress up you are looking to wear during summer. Remember that LIGHT FABRICS LIKE COTTON OR LINEN are idle as well as LIGHT OR BRIGHT COLORS. But make sure you stay away from DARK COLORS ESPECIALLY BLACK during the day time. MOVIE THURSDAY: IRON MAN 3

So a lot of people is already hype for one of the best movies this year, IRON MAN 3 which is coming out this Friday May 3rd. We all remember watching the animated version on t.v growing up, so you know there are going to be a lot of huge fans coming to see this movie. The 1st and 2nd instalment of the Iron man trilogy in my opinion, was just perfect because Director Jon Favreau put more effort into following the actual Iron man we all remember growing up then most directors do when it comes to making a DC or Marvel movie. Now IRON MAN 3 which I already saw a week before it was coming out is A MUST SEE. Director Shane Black  is no Jon Favreau, but he did a great job with this instalment of Iron man. Everything got my attention except one slight twist which you will notice when you see the movie this Friday May 3rd. Well that is all for now till next thursday,but before I go. I have one question to ask you. My question to everyone is, do you think there will be a 4th Iron Man or do you think this will be the finial instalment of Iron man?
