REAL TALK WEDNESDAY: ANIMALS OR CIVILIZED ANIMALS

The world that we live in today, our parents can no longer just say that actions have consequences. Some life threatening... well that's not true they can say and they do. But this generation will always needs more. I am for experiencing the world and learning from our mistakes but why are we so dull, that just saying "Stealing electricity is dangerous you can be electrocuted," isn't that not enough?
We live in a world where we progressed from people traumatized by the movie Jaws that the same people from that generation still find it difficult to enter 3 feet of water. To people that freely distributes photos and videos of decapitated bodies, burnt bodies; mutilated bodies. We are so desensitized by those images, that we are using these images to either instill fear in the population or teach a moral lesson like "Don't Steal electricity or Don't Snitch". Of course these things are taught by the media, but don't we control what we let influence us? Shouldn't our generation be phasing out these insanities? Aren't we more intelligent than they were? So why are we letting the negatives from our past, negatively influence our future.
So before we can stand up, shouting at the top of our lungs, "We need Change!!!". We should first understand what we would like to change.
We are animals, but does that justify our tendency to act as such?
